About Chateau Church

Our Name

Although located near the beautiful Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA, our proximity to this vineyard is not the only reason for our name. A Chateau is the residence of a winemaker; in our case, Jesus Christ is the spiritual winemaker.

John 2:1-11 records the first miracle of Jesus. In this scripture, Jesus attended a feast where He transformed water into wine. The wine was so good that the master of the feast commented that the “good wine” was saved for last. Just as Jesus transformed the wine, He also transforms his people. We are the water transformed into good wine due to the transformation Jesus made in all of us.

Therefore, we strive to teach others about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If they know Jesus, they will love Jesus. If they love Jesus, they will follow Jesus. If they follow Jesus, they will receive eternal life. When we teach others about our Lord and Savior, Jesus will transform them into His “good wine.”

Our History

In 2010, the late Bishop W. Ron Sailor, Sr. heard the voice of the Lord telling him it was time to plant a church in another mission field. Bishop drove through various communities around Gwinnett County and as far as Andersen, SC waiting to hear the Lord say, “this is it.” He received confirmation in Braselton, GA, near Chateau Elan.

After hearing the voice of the Lord, Bishop Sailor and Elder Dwayne began planning the Church at Chateau. Together with members of Christ the King Baptist Church, called the “Go Team,” they began canvassing. The Church at Chateau held its first service on February 24, 2013 at 8:00 am at the Country Inn and Suites in Braselton, GA.
