Daniel, though young and living in a foreign land, resolved in his heart not to eat the royal food and wine that would defile him before God.
Instead of rebelling or complaining, he acted wisely — respectfully asking for permission to eat only vegetables and water.
His action, based on conviction and faith, led to God’s favor and success.
This passage teaches that faith must move beyond belief — it must ACT.

-
“Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself.”
-
Real faith begins with an inner decision before it becomes an outward action.

2. Act with Courage (v. 9–10)
-
Daniel risked favor, position, and even his life by going against the king’s command.
-
Yet he didn’t act with pride or rebellion — he spoke with humility and boldness.

3. Act with Confidence in God (v. 11–14)
-
Daniel trusted that if he obeyed God, the outcome would be in God’s hands.
-
After 10 days of testing, his obedience proved fruitful — God honored his faith.
