Chateau Church Worship

This teaching of Jesus is often called “The Golden Rule.”
It is one of the clearest and most powerful principles for Christian living.

Jesus teaches that we should treat people with:

  • kindness
  • respect
  • mercy
  • fairness
  • love

—not based on how they treat us, but based on how we would want to be treated ourselves.

This kind of love goes beyond selfishness and reflects the heart of God.

Message Outline: “Do to Others as You Would Have Them Do to You”

1. Love Should Be Intentional

Jesus teaches us to actively do good, not just avoid doing wrong.

👉 Don’t wait for people to treat you right first.
Take the first step in kindness and grace.

Real love acts.

2. Treat Others with Compassion

Everyone wants:

  • understanding
  • forgiveness
  • patience
  • encouragement

Jesus says: give those same things to others.

👉 The mercy you desire should become the mercy you show.

3. Reflect the Character of Christ

Jesus treated people with dignity:

  • the poor
  • the rejected
  • sinners
  • the broken

When we follow the Golden Rule, we represent Christ to the world.

👉 Your treatment of people reveals the condition of your heart.
