Chateau Church Worship

In this passage, Jesus uses a little child to teach His disciples an important lesson about humility, love, and true greatness in God’s kingdom.

At that time, children were often seen as unimportant in society. But Jesus embraced the child and showed that caring for the humble, weak, and overlooked is the same as honoring Christ Himself.

Jesus teaches that true greatness is not found in power or status, but in serving others with love and humility.

When we welcome, care for, and value others—especially the vulnerable—we reflect the heart of Christ.

Message Outline: “Welcoming the Least Reflects Christ”

1. True Greatness Comes Through Humility

Jesus used a child as an example because children represented humility and dependence.

👉 God values a humble heart more than worldly status or recognition.

Real greatness is found in serving others.

2. Jesus Calls Us to Welcome Others with Love

To “welcome” means to accept, care for, and show kindness.

Jesus teaches us to welcome:

  • The overlooked
  • The weak
  • The rejected
  • The needy

👉 How we treat people matters deeply to God.

3. Serving Others Reflects Christ

Jesus said that when we receive others in His name, we receive Him.

Every act of compassion, kindness, and love becomes an act of worship to God.

👉 The way you treat others reveals whether Christ is truly living in your heart.
