Jesus tells the "Parable of the Weeds," comparing the kingdom of heaven to a farmer who sows good wheat seed in his field. During the night, an enemy secretly sows weeds among the wheat. As the plants grow, the weeds become evident, and the farmer's servants ask if they should pull them up. The farmer advises against this, as uprooting the weeds could harm the wheat. He instructs them to let both grow until harvest, when the reapers will first gather and burn the weeds, and then store the wheat in his barn.
The parable teaches that good and evil will exist side by side until the final judgment. God allows both to grow together for a time, demonstrating patience, but ultimately, there will be a separation, rewarding the faithful and bringing justice to those who opposed them.
